Building Castles

OUR SPOOKY CASTLE!!!!

We had lots of visitors to our spooky castle during Halloween.

Peter took the bookings on the telephone.

The visitors bought tickets and a map.

Liam used the microphone to tell the visitors about the ghost in the castle.

  

 Kieran had a SPOOKY time in our castle.

 Tori and Abigail loved their visit to the spooky castle.

Letters and Sounds in September

We have learned four sounds so far from the Jolly Phonics programme.  They are s, a, t and i.  The remaining sounds in this group of letters are n and p.

Old McDonald's Farm

This is the Junior Infants new farm.

We are milking the cows.

We are making cheese from milk.

We are cutting the sheeps wool off.

We are cutting the pigs to get pork.

We are getting eggs from the chickens.

We are minding the chicks from the fox.

We are putting the animals in their new field.

We are giving food to customers.

Junior Infant Jivers!!

Gardening

We have been very busy in the garden.

We are growing sweet peas and sunflowers in the polytunnel.

First we got our little pots - perfect for our little seeds.

Next we made a little hole and popped the little seeds in!

Lastly, we found a nice warm spot for our pots.  We watered them and left them to grow!!!



Little Red Riding Hood

In April we listened to the story of Little Red Riding Hood. 

We even made Granny's cottage in the woods in our classroom.

The wolf is trying to get in to Granny's cottage...

Oh no!! He is in the bed!!

In the Bug Laboratory

Our scientists are hard at work studying and discovering new types of bugs and insects.

This month we are doing ZUMBA in our P.E. class.

It helps us keep fit and have lots of fun!!

Three Pigs Construction Site

(NO WOLVES ALLOWED)

This is our building site.  It is the three pigs' building site.  The wolf is not allowed in here.

We draw house plans.

We wear our safety hat and coat.

We keep the wolf out.

We build the brick house.

And we never forget to have our tea break!!!!
