We loved exploring Autumn leaves and conkers and twigs today. We loved listening to he crunching sound they make and looking at all the different colour leaves. We especially loved how all the different objects feel. We fou d out that the outside of the conker is rough and spikey but inside it is shiny and smooth...
Cooking day in our class starts early. First we made a list of ingredients. Today we needed flour eggs milk sugar butter and chocolate spread.

We wrote our list and off to the shop we went with our shopping bag. Maebh pushed the trolley and Chantelle held the list while we all went looking for our items. At the checkout Tom checked we had everything and paid the shopkeeper. Great teamwork!!!!
Back in class we prepared our ingredients. Maebh mashed some banana to put in the batter. We cracked the eggs and Bart whisked them. Chantelle and Maebh measured the flour, sugar and milk. We all helped mix the batter.
Miss Blackwell was in charge of the cooker. We heard the butter sizzling in the pan and we knew it was ready to cook!!!! The pancakes were delicious especially with chocolate and homemade blackberry jam (thanks to Mrs Carroll s class).
We were amazed in our science lesson today when we saw colours moving all by themselves.
First we put drops of food colouring into milk and did not let them mix. Then me dipped cotton buds into fairyliquid and then into the colours. ..see what happened. There were a few wows!!!!
Snack times are a busy time in our class. Everyone likes to help out. Tom is setting the table and Eolann is drying the plates for us today!
Today was our four junior infants first long day at school. So we decided to head outside in our wellies to do some work in the garden. We got stuck into clearing the weeds and tidying up the old pots. We even found some tomato plants with small green tomatoes growing on them. We will be keeping a close eye to see if they ripen and turn nice and red! !
